Nissan Micra Supermini is Peculiar and Perfectly Cultured

An absolutely admirable third generation of the Nissan Micra is something more pleasantly eccentric than ever

New Nissan Micra from its backlights to the headlights and the engine to its controls is just awesome and appealing. It has a bubbly styling and oddly placed minor controls. But at the first glance, it was like seeing a plain Jane sister. This new generation of the Micra is different from the old car and locked in its ancestor’s extrovert nature.

What Nissan thinks of it?

Obviously, Nissan thought so too and the evidence of the thinking of automaker is a little facelift given to the supermini in 2013. Although the new model has a stylish exterior and 360 degree slicker styling but it still reminds me of its previous generation because it still has a better value for the money you spent on it.

How it is a better choice?

If you are looking to spend £10,000 on a new supermini than the mew Micra is the best choice. It’s really hard to complain about the space inside the cabin because it has enough that a city car can offer. Particularly, in the back seats, it really helps to use a child seat, but you cannot split the rear seat unfortunately but it does fold flat anyway.

What engines Nissan Micra offer?

All new Nissan Micra offers a three cylinder 1.2-litre engine which is a decently refined engine, however, you can have a 1.2 DIG-S engine as well. It generates more than 98PS of power. There is no place for diesel engines in the world of the Micra and both these engines are petrol powered.
The gear shifting is a really fun on the Micra with CVT automatic transmission installed on it.

A licence to kill by 2019!

European Commission has granted concession on emission limits to car manufacturers

The US authorities are raising emission standards and making it tougher and tighter while on the contrary European Commission has granted relaxation on Euro 6 emission standards to car manufacturer by 2019. According to the details, the member states of the European Commission including UK have put forward a petition to relax Euro 6 limits by 2019 to favour car manufacturer in the Europe.

The Commission has accepted the petition and granted relax on Euro 6 emissions standards by 2019.The car manufacturers are now allowed to emit more amount of NOx, CO2, and PM (Particle Matter) in the light of recent decision.

That means car manufacturer can play with your health and environment without any hesitation. The Euro 6 standards have proposed the NOx limit to 80mg/km for diesel engines but the current relaxation has allowed the car manufacturer to increase NOx emission limit to 160mg/km until 2019, double of the Euro 6 standards.

It is evident that the Governments in the Europe were looking forward to adopt and implement zero-tolerance policy on emissions standards from 2020 but the current decision indicates the lobbyists have gained power and control over the decision making authorities. And the car manufacturers will keep on playing with the emission standards even after 2019.

However the European Parliament reserve the rights to again start a debate on the emission standards issue and reverse the relaxation decision made by the European Commission. An activists at well-known campaign group argued, the governments in the Europe are plying with the public health and leaving environment vulnerable toward air pollutions, the citizens should step forward to question the legality of such decisions.
